But recently surgeons at Northwestern Medicine in Chicago&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/news.nm.org\/northwestern-medicine-successfully-performs-double-lung-transplant-on-a-second-patient-with-stage-4-lung-cancer-and-launches-first-of-its-kind-clinical-program\/\">crossed a frontier<\/a>&nbsp;in the lung transplantation.
