Each day I\u2019m personally reminded of how one decision can change a life.&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/cysticfibrosisnewstoday.com\/columns\/joy-complex-emotions-transplant-anniversary\/\">My life was saved<\/a>&nbsp;because of my donor, who made my&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/cysticfibrosisnewstoday.com\/cystic-fibrosis-lung-transplant\/\">double-lung transplant<\/a>&nbsp;possible five years ago. Each breath I take reminds me of the miraculous gift of organ donation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>For me,\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.donatelife.net\/celebrations\/\">National Donor Day<\/a>\u00a0on Feb. 14 is a time to remember what I\u2019ve been through and reflect on where I am now. It\u2019s a sobering thought that I would have died without my organ donor. I was in respiratory failure nearly six years ago, and time was running out. The medications had stopped working, and I was getting sicker while in the hospital.
