During her career, she worked tirelessly to help us understand chronic kidney disease (CKD) and pregnancy; let\u2019s not forget those were the times when \u201c<a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov\/78159\/\" target=\"_blank\">Children of women with renal disease used to be born dangerously or not at all \u2013 not at all if their doctors had their way<\/a>.\u201d Nowadays, although many unanswered questions remain, we have much more knowledge to guide us through the counseling and care of women with CKD who desire to become mothers, as reviewed by\u00a0<a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/www.ajkd.org\/article\/S0272-6386(21)00830-1\/fulltext\" target=\"_blank\">Oliverio et al<\/a>.
